Light Art
These images might look like digital paintings but they are 100% photographs, made in one single long exposure.
I paint with light using LED lights, stencils, bokehs, kaleidoscopes, spirographs, children's toys, mobile screens, fibre-optic cables, plexiglass, recycled plastic items and other props.
The process involves a lot of trial and error and usually takes many hours to complete. It is also very challenging because it is done in the dark and the results are completely unexpected. Please check the ‘Making Of’ video at the bottom of the page.
I had the pleasure to be featured on DYI Photography and I won a bursary from Curatos Space.
Blooming
In 2021, during a long and painful battle with depression, my life-saving therapist suggested an art therapy exercise: to paint a picture of what life would look like in the near future when things were finally better. So I gathered some old drafts and created a colorful watercolor I called "Blooming," envisioning how I would feel once I was back on my feet, enjoying life, and growing again—no longer broken and at rock bottom.
Fast forward to 2023, when I was opening my gallery, I was finally feeling better. I felt whole again and excited for a new beginning. I decided to redesign the watercolor as a light painting to display at the gallery’s opening. I also wanted to gift the painting to my sister and therapist, my two heroes who had literally saved me from my darkest days.
That night, as the light painting glowed on the wall, I realised something beautiful: I wasn’t just showing my art, I was showing the world that I had bloomed.
Self
Self-Confidence
Self-Esteem
These pictures are called self-confidence and self-esteem. They are similar but not the same.
Self-confidence is about trusting our ability to achieve what we want.
Self-esteem is how we value and perceive ourselves.
The star symbolizes our inner light. The diamond represents what makes us unique and precious.

It took me about 5 hours each to get all the elements right. I used light painting techniques (UV lights, LED lights and stencils) combined with a in-camera double-exposure.

Cracked But Not Broken
Glass cube illuminated by a single torch in a long exposure.
This glass cube went through a lot. It was burned, frozen and dropped many times for different art projects. Until one day, it finally cracked. Before throwing it away, I decided to inspect the inside with a torch. I noticed that the shadow projecting on the wall was still intact. I was mesmerized by the illusion and so excited by my discovery.
The cracked glass cube inspired me. I often feel broken inside and just want to hide away from the world. But under the right light I can see things differently and find hope. After all, sometimes things are cracked but not broken.
