FREE TALK: "Reconnect With Your Creativity"

Talk+Reconnect+With+Your+Creativity.jpg

Hi everyone!

Hope you are well.

I will be hosting a talk about one of my favorite subjects: Creativity! And how to reconnect with yours.

I lost count of how many times I've heard people saying 'Oh, I wish I could (draw/paint/photograph/sculpt/fill your desired media here... haha) but I'm not CREATIVE enough!'. OH, no!!! That makes me soooo sad! Mainly because of 2 reasons:
First, if you think like that, you are missing out! To create art and use your creativity to express yourself is not only a fantastic experience but literally can change your life for better.
Secondly, because I have a motto that I shout out loud for anyone that can hear: 'Creativity is NOT a gift that you are born with and either have it or not'. Creativity can be practiced. It's like a muscle that gets stronger if you exercise. Also, there are a lot of techniques you can learn to do that.

I LOVE to help people rekindle their creativity. I think it's one of my life missions. Haha I will be sharing a lot of ways you can get your creative juices flowing. And I am so passionate about this subject that I am sure I can empower you to dive deeper into your creative journey. Let's call it contagious creativity! lol

And why should you be listening to me?

Well, since I started teaching in 2015 I've been consuming creativity knowledge like crazy! I've studied a bunch of techniques, did an innovation course, read a lot of stuff, researched experts in the field (from artists to neuroscientists) and tried different approaches myself. And I did that just to help the "I'm not creative enough" kind of people. I want to stop that line of thinking. Maybe I should create a new hashtag #JulianaPromisedMeICanBeMoreCreative! Do you think that # can go viral? hahahaha (Insert that emoji with the tongue out here)

Also, I work with creativity on a daily basis (with video, design, and photography) and my clients expect creative solutions for their projects. To deliver that I'm always exploring ways to develop my creativity. My job relies on that. And to blow my own trumpet, I had clients such as Panasonic, Santander, Peugeot Citroen, Honda Motors, McAfee, SeaWorld, and many others in a wide range of creative services. Apologies about the bragging moment here (I'm a nervous bragger... hahaha), but that was necessary to show you that I know about the subject! And I want you to know more about it as well.

So enough rambling. Come to the talk. My funny accent is more entertaining than a text. It's free and I'll give you sweets.
How can you so 'no' to that. hahaha

Hope to see you next Friday.
More info below.

Cheers,
Juliana

"There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle" Albert Einstein

When we take a realistic look at our lives, it is hard not to believe in the second of Einstein's choices. The miracles are all around us.

But life is for a limited time only, it is just a blip on the cosmos screen, and there is suffering, all sorts of suffering.

"You must make use of this boat which is the human life, to cross over the great river of suffering" Master Shantideva

Hi everyone!

Hope you are well.
I decided to host a talk related to the "Connections" Exhibition at Espacio Gallery. I am showing some of my work there and I'm invigilating on Friday so this is a great opportunity to use the space to 'connect' with people. ;)

Open Call for "Threads" in Edinburgh

Threads Edinburgh 2019.jpg

Hi everyone!

To celebrate the women's history month (March 2019), The Artists' Pool (https://www.theartistspool.co.uk) is organizing an exhibition in Edinburgh. So exciting!

They are looking for artists to participate, so if you want to exhibit your artwork in a prestigious art gallery, this is your chance.

The theme is "Threads".

Works can be of any medium: painting, photography, mixed media, collage, mosaic, sculptures, installations, etc.

This is an open call so you have to submit your work for selection. It will cost £35 for the first/single entry and £25 for additional entries (up to 4 artworks). A Selection Committee will choose what will be exhibited.

SUBMIT HERE: https://theartistspool.oess1.uk/

If you have any questions, please contact Renee at info@theartistspool.co.uk

We had a great time in Edinburgh during Threads 2017 and 2018 so hope you join us for 2019.

Cheers,

Juliana
